One of the keys to lasting team cohesion lies in the meeting of the rational and the intuitive.
When collective intelligence meets intuition, connections are formed on a different level.
In today’s world of constant transformation, shifting team compositions, and ever more complex operational and human challenges… traditional team-building approaches can sometimes reach their limits.
It’s in this in-between space — between collective efficiency and relational depth — that a powerful dynamic emerges: the one that blends collective intelligence and intuitive intelligence.
🔍 Context: A Workshop for a Marketing Team at a Major Insurance Company
A marketing operations manager at a large French insurance company recently reached out to me as part of a two-day offsite with her team. She wanted to offer a session that was useful, refreshing, and different. Together, we co-designed a 3-hour workshop for her team of eight people.
Her goals:
-
Generate fresh ideas around a concrete operational challenge,
-
Strengthen bonds within a team that had seen 50% turnover in two years,
-
Foster presence — to self and others — and meaningful connection.
Her openness to new approaches, combined with the team’s maturity and kindness, made it possible to explore a unique mix: a smooth alternation between structured collaborative tools and intuitive practices.
Some members of the team had previously experienced a workshop on The 7 Laws of Life, facilitated by Sylvie Senanedj, author of The Kybalion and the 7 Cosmic Laws.
🧠 Collective Intelligence: Structure, Trust & Innovation
Quick definition: Collective intelligence is the ability of a group to mobilize its shared knowledge and experience in a structured way, to generate solutions that go further than individual efforts alone.
Tools and methods we used:
-
A shared safety framework
-
A “Codev Express” process focused on a concrete issue (35 minutes, structured method benefiting both the problem-owner and the group).
-
Brainstorming, pair work, and fast-paced group formats.
-
A team retrospective (“I liked / I didn’t like / I learned”) initiated by the manager.
-
Acknowledging tensions — first individually, then collectively.
What made the difference:
A mindset that carried the group throughout the session:
Deep listening, emotional awareness, freedom of expression, respect for different rhythms, space for silence.
And practical tools that the team can easily reuse.
💫 Intuitive Intelligence: Symbols, Sensations & Inner Alignment
Quick definition: Intuition can be a sudden insight — a “knowing without knowing why” — but it can also be intentionally activated through simple and practical tools: symbols, body awareness, guided imagery…
Practices we explored:
-
Drawing cards at random using the Oracle of Professional Life : a creative and symbolic way to tap into new perspectives using visuals, key words and intuitive texts.
-
Gentle somatic awareness: tuning into where things “speak” in the body… or where they feel stuck. Identifying the archetypes that inspire or challenge us.
-
Guided exploration at a respectful pace, allowing each person to reconnect with their body as a compass.
This sensitive dimension allowed unspoken truths to be voiced, and opened the door to deeper, often more intuitive, understanding within the team.
🔗 The Thread: 4 Leadership Archetypes
Throughout the workshop, we wove a narrative around four symbolic archetypes of leadership, each present within us:
-
🔥 The Warrior (action, courage, grounded presence)
-
💧 The Healer (care, empathy, connection)
-
🌬️ The Wise (discernment, insight, perspective)
-
🌍 The Visionary (direction, momentum, intuition)
These archetypes — associated with the four elements (fire, water, air, earth) — helped participants better understand their own roles within the group, recognize collective strengths and gaps, and co-create a shared vision.
🌱 Tangible Outcomes
-
Tensions were expressed (not suppressed), which allowed them to be released in a respectful and constructive way.
-
Greater self-awareness and team understanding, within a safe and caring container.
-
Practical methods that the team can apply independently in the future.
-
Renewed motivation — especially for the manager, who was delighted by the depth of engagement.
-
Clear answers to two key questions:
→ One very operational.
→ One more systemic: How can we increase the team’s influence and visibility within the organization?
✨ In Summary
Combining collective intelligence and intuitive intelligence means:
-
Bridging structure and sensitivity
-
Creating spaces where people can think, feel, contribute, and grow
-
Building teams that are not only efficient, but also aligned and vibrant
